Definition

Wire-heated glass allows the windshield to be heatable. Wire-heated glass is used to defog and deice the windshield in response to climatic conditions.

Technical Specifications

Wire-heated glass is manufactured by installing wires on the PVB before the windshields are bonded to the PVB. Heating connectors are then attached to the wires after bonding. This special glass boosts driving comfort by enabling the windshield to warm up faster when it becomes icy due to climatic conditions.
